“Try and generate at least 2 business ideas over the course of your undergrad, even if they aren't specific or if you don't intend to follow through with them.”

Fun Fact: Despite being born and raised in Kelowna, I don't know how to swim. I also played 3 sports in high school, with scholarship offers to play football in college from 2 schools 

Advice for First Years:

“Companies value club experience and student extra curricular's very highly when you are applying for jobs after graduation. Get out of your comfort zone and get involved in any way you can (joining a club, attending a gala or networking night). Just generally don't be afraid to put yourself out there because good things will come from it.”

Advice for First Years:

“ "Networking" this word will be ingrained into your head for the rest of your miserable life. I would suggest you start now to get used to all the awkwardnesses and practice your skills sooner. I did that in my first year, still suffering, but I feel like it's getting a bit better. Practice makes perfect, that's what they all said.”
